AI Is Building the Next AI. That Work Has Already Begun Inside Research Labs
On September 18, Anthropic disclosed that Claude is helping develop the next generation of models. People and AI are working together on model design, experiments, and code improvements. Across international news and communities over the past few days, this shift has spread as a discussion of what AI can create.
From AI That Returns Answers to AI That Increases Iteration
What matters is not only whether AI produces the right answer in one attempt. It is whether researchers can test hypotheses, read results, and move on to the next experiment more often. This is Anthropic's own announcement, and the reproducibility of its results still needs to be assessed. Even so, the change from AI as a research conversation partner to part of the research environment is becoming concrete.
Development's Waiting Time Gets Shorter
This trend also extends to product development. As the cycle of researching, building, running, and fixing gets shorter, teams can compare their next options before waiting for a finished product. What AI increases is not the volume of work, but the number of futures that can be tried.
When AI Joins the Making Side, the Development Landscape Changes.
What caught my attention today was the idea that Claude is helping with the work of building the next Claude.
AI returns answers. It writes code. By now, those things are becoming familiar.
But it feels like the story changes a little when it enters the flow of experiments and improvements on the side that builds the models.
Researchers form a question, run it, look at the results, and try the next thing. The waiting time in between gets shorter.
This is less about AI reaching conclusions in place of people, and more about increasing how often people can move their own hypotheses forward.
The same is true in product development: the faster the cycle of building, trying, fixing, and releasing again, the more we can grow an experience without waiting for the finished product.
What AI increases within research and development is not answers, but the next move.
The video introduces connecting Figma MCP to Claude Code and other MCP-compatible AI tools, presenting it as a way to move beyond the usual workflow of switching between Figma and separate AI products.
Using Figma Make, the video covers turning static designs into logic-driven interactive prototypes. It includes AI-generated variables and conditional logic, plus an e-commerce UI whose total price updates as the quantity changes.
The creator argues that, as AI makes creation broadly accessible, the scarce skill is deciding what to make and judging whether the intended value was achieved. The discussion covers strategy, audiences, desires, competition, and design principles.
The uploader reviews claimed GPT-6 Astra performance data and discusses computer operation, coding, research and design work, and security. The video includes demonstrations involving meeting-room comparisons and 3D creation, alongside cautions about accountability for AI actions.
This video tests a local Qwen3.8-Flash-Next setup with Blender: writing and running Python, inspecting images, improving a ship inside a glass bottle, and creating a 30-second animation involving waves, a ship, a camera, and a lighthouse.
Using Suno v6 during its extended free-access period, the video follows a largely uncut process from improvised singing through lyric and prompt adjustments to real-time arrangement generation. It tries alternate bedroom-pop and funk versions of “Ganbare v6.”
The video shows how Gemini Canvas can generate a bill-splitting app from a one-line Japanese prompt. It covers testing the result, group-based splitting, direct code editing, version restoration, HTML download, and prompting Gemini to address errors.
The uploader compares GPT Image 2, Images 2.5 Flare, and Images 2.5 Sunburst across eight criteria, focusing on lighting quality and editability. Tests include Japanese ads, product images, diagrams, numerical content, web design, comics, and targeted edits.
