Google announced its new AI model, Gemini 4 Argon, on September 30. It is designed for software development and research that take many steps. Access begins with a small group, including specialists who defend against cyberattacks.
Google says Argon can find software weaknesses, check them, and suggest fixes. It also names work in law and finance that requires reading documents and reasoning through several stages. Its performance figures come from Google's own tests; real-world assessment is still ahead.
After the announcement, people in several Reddit communities asked when they could use it. It is not generally available yet.
Google plans to learn how defensive specialists use Argon and what problems they encounter before widening access to developers, businesses, and the public. The day a model is announced is not the day everyone can use it.
What stands out is the decision to test an AI built for long tasks in real defensive work first. Instead of stopping at laboratory scores, Google can broaden its uses through experience on the job.

AI no longer stops after producing one polished idea. It takes in the results of real use and creates another version. People can see what changed and choose which idea to move forward with.
