OpenAI announced GPT-6 and Intelligent UI on October 7. ChatGPT can now respond with an interface shaped around the question, including comparisons, diagrams and tools people can use inside the conversation.
A comparison question can produce a side-by-side view. A calculation can become an interactive calculator, while a learning question can get a visual explanation. ChatGPT chooses a format for the task and can still answer in plain text.
A response may begin while the system continues to think or use tools, with more information added afterward.
The rollout began October 7 for paid ChatGPT plans and expands to Free and Go starting the following day. Enterprise access also depends on administrator settings, so availability can vary.
This is a change to the Chat experience. OpenAI says the models powering Work and Codex are unchanged by this release.
