Dessa laughs and responds mid-conversation, learning from speech alone
Block’s voice AI Dessa expresses timing and vocal tone as well as words: its examples include laughing mid-sentence and helping recall a movie. The published conversations are drawing responses on Reddit.
Learning from sound, without converting it into text
Block says Dessa was trained from scratch using only human conversation audio, without text or pretrained models. It can listen and speak at the same time, allowing brief responses before the other person finishes.
The official page presents live recordings of people talking with the model. Block says Dessa chooses its voice and timing, with subtitles added afterward.
Conversation demos and early research access
Block says it runs locally on a MacBook Pro M4 Max or better. It is inviting early access for researchers rather than offering broad general availability.
At observation, one Reddit post displayed 494 votes. That records a reaction to the demonstration, not verified evidence of consistent response quality for every user.
What stands out in Dessa’s examples is how it laughs and responds before the other person finishes. Expression comes from when it replies as well as what it says.
A brief acknowledgment can make it easier to keep talking. Small moments like that shape a voice experience.
ElevenLabs’ live translation also lets people hear their own language while a conversation unfolds. Teams can adjust when translation begins to suit the kind of discussion.
Together, these announcements make possible experiences more concrete: reacting briefly during an explanation, following a correction, and keeping the exchange going across languages.
Consider a conversation about choosing a product. Alongside stating every requirement before receiving an answer, people could think aloud, check details along the way and narrow their options. The middle of the conversation becomes something designers can shape.
Consulting a voice AI is expanding into an experience of thinking together while speaking.
Three approaches are compared: text alone, a character image with text, and a character image with a reference video. The workflow covers character creation in Higgsfield, motion recreation with Genjutsu, outfit and background changes, and corrections to unsuccessful scenes.
The description lists beginner and intermediate Illustrator courses, a book, and related resources. No caption excerpt is supplied, so it does not establish the Claude–After Effects workflow or model details suggested by the title.
The creator describes delegating editing to Claude Code for a 15-second promotional clip, HeyGen avatar footage, and character videos made with Google Flow. The walkthrough includes actual instructions, failed attempts and fixes, and turning the workflow into reusable skills.
The description identifies the content as a Manus promotion and links to the game “Suugaku War,” alongside a free-credit offer. It also promotes Kono Juku courses, but provides no specific evidence of learning outcomes or details of how the game was built.
The program interviews Meta’s Alexandr Wang about its stated Japanese rollout of Muse and its personal AI strategy. Topics include envisioned shopping and travel assistance, remembering conversations, rebuilding AI development with Mark Zuckerberg, and safeguards for using AI.
The promotional description claims Memoket Gem transcribes 153 languages and produces summaries with decisions and action items. It advertises an Apple Watch co-wear band, optional pendant or clip accessories, and memory across conversations; these are product claims rather than verified performance results.
The tutorial uses code written by Claude to create motion graphics and animated explainers. It introduces a free collection of 86 styles and prompts, covers generation without narration, and shows how to synchronize animations with the words in a voiceover.
Drawing on a claimed year of daily Claude use, the creator guides viewers through workspace configuration and features. Topics include permissions, Plan Mode, CLAUDE.md, memory, skills, subagents, MCP integrations, context management, parallel sessions, and code review. The caption identifies Anthropic as the sponsor.
